Tattersalls Enclosure
This enclosure is the largest and most atmospheric area at Aintree throughout the three day racemeeting. Owing to the results of Aintree’s redevelopment project, this area is now greatly enhanced and features:

the new Aintree Pavilion, a vast covered area with plenty of bars, live music and betting plus racing on the big screens;
-
the Aintree Mound – take your place to view the final fences of all races;
-
the Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure, where you can view the horses and jockeys before and after races, and perhaps decide who you think looks on top form before placing your bets;
-
access to an array of bars, including the new Parade Ring Bar and Pre-Parade Ring Bar, as well as the legendary Irish Bar within the Princess Royal Stand; plus,
-
bars and entertainment in the Red Rum Garden.
West Tip Seats
Part of the atmospheric Tattersalls Enclosure, these covered, temporary seats offer great views up the home straight. With a dedicated bar for West Tip seat holders, you can enjoy this luxury, or go and explore the rest of the Tattersalls Enclosure at your leisure. The newest style bar experience at the racecourse today, this exclusive lounge area offers racegoers comfort and luxurious surroundings for a special day at the Grand National meeting. With reserved covered seats in the County Stand, overlooking the famous Water Jump and Winning Post, you are guaranteed a prime location, with premium benefits in this VIP facility. This exclusive area features a private entrance, a dedicated Champagne bar [open for an additional hour following the final race of the day], a reserved seat, complimentary racecard, raceday hostess plus a souvenir badge. Although this package is not inclusive of food or drink, you will have special access to our luxury catering concessions and a dedicated private bar.
The Bulmers Original Cider Bar
The most exclusive bar on the racecourse, why not enhance your visit to Aintree with a glass of Bulmers Original, served over ice for ultimate refreshment. Undoubtedly the most charismatic and colourful bar on any racecourse today, this facility used to be Aintree’s historic Weighing Room and Winner’s Enclosure. Grandstand Enclosures
Earl of Derby Stand
Seats
Open for the first time at the 2007 John Smith’s Grand National meeting, the Earl of Derby grandstand seats were designed to offer first-class viewing facilities for the 21stcentury spectator. With two levels of tiered, covered seating [upper and lower], higher than any other seated enclosure at Aintree, the Earl of Derby Stand seats provide breathtaking views over the entire course. Both levels permit access to a private saddle bar overlooking the horse-walk tunnel and Parade Ring, ensuring racegoers are in the hub of the day’s excitement.
Set at a unique angle, overlooking the Grand National start and finish, you’re guaranteed you won’t want to leave your seat all day. Both tiers of seats leave you with a 360° impression of the famous course – the place to be to soak up the magic that is Aintree.
Terrace (standing)
Not to be confused with roof badges, our terraces are lower than other standing enclosures but offer a prime spot, closer to the action than anywhere else on the racecourse. Located either side of the horse walk, be first to cheer a winner on its way back to the Winner’s Enclosure as well as witness the colourful preparations of horses and jockeys at the Grand National start.
Lord Sefton Stand

Sitting next to the Earl of Derby stand, The Lord Sefton Stand is set at a unique corner of the racecourse offering an excellent vantage point. With two levels of tiered, covered seating [upper and lower], higher than any other seated enclosure at Aintree, the Lord Sefton Stand seats provide a birds eye view of almost the entrie course. Both levels of this grandstand permit access to a private saddle bar overlooking the horse-walk tunnel and Parade Ring, so that none of the action is missed.
Terrace (standing)
Not to be confused with roof badges, our terraces are lower than other standing enclosures but offer a prime spot, closer to the action than anywhere else on the racecourse. Directly across from the Earl of Derby Stand, these two terraces frame the horse walk so you'll be first to cheer a winner on its way back to the Winner’s Enclosure as well as witness the colourful preparations of horses and jockeys at the Grand National start.
Princess Royal Stand
Seats
A popular choice with many racegoers, these seats are situated between the Chair and the Water Jump and offer a premium view of the final 200 metres of every race. Most seats in this stand are under cover.
Roof (standing)
A partially covered standing area, with the Tommy Wallis Suite as its dedicated bar, this enclosure offers a unique vantage point over the racecourse, and an ideal spot for viewing the exciting final few minutes of every race.
County Stand

Roof (standing)
The traditional County Stand is one of the most sought-after enclosures at the Grand National meeting, offering a viewing terrace on its roof, giving panoramic views over the course. A beautiful uncovered roof area, with traditional architecture and prime viewing, this standing enclosure is very popular with racegoers at Aintree. With a birds-eye view directly over the Winning Post, you can scrutinize who makes it first past the post before anyone else.
Queen Mother Stand
Seats
Watch the equine stars take their place at the Grand National start line and be in the thick of the action as the horses pass the Winning Post. This stand is completely covered, protecting raceday hats from the elements. Please note, Queen Mother seats are accessible from the front of the grandstand.
Roof (standing)
Located just yards past the Grand National finish line, and close to where the horses enter the racecourse, the uncovered Queen Mother Stand Roof offers premium standing viewing of the course and is in close proximity to the Parade Ring.
Steeplechase Enclosure [Saturday only]
Open on Grand National Day only, this enclosure is ideal for those wanting to enjoy John Smith’s Grand National Day at a leisurely and informal pace, with no dress code to worry about. Although this enclosure does not allow access to the Parade Ring or Winner’s Enclosure, it does offer prime viewing of the first few fences of the Grand National course. This area also features:
- fantastic and unique views of the Grand National itself;
- unreserved seats overlooking the Mildmay and Grand National course;
- live coverage of all of the racing action on a large screen TV;
- bars, catering and betting facilities in addition to live entertainment
The Steeplechase Enclosure is primarily uncovered, so this area really is for the racegoer who is up for a traditional, element-embracing racing day out!
